Remembering Dustin
Dustin Lee Chamberlain
(June 18, 1991 - December 15, 2011)
Dustin was a servant hearted young man who deeply loved people. This was evident through his kind nature and encouraging words. The mission of Dustin’s Dream, a non-profit organization, is to carry on what Dustin began in his short life: sharing the transformational love of God with those in need.
In December of 2011, at the age of 20, Dustin returned home from Baylor University to spend the holiday with his family. His life tragically ended when he was shot and killed during a home invasion. Growing up, Dustin had dreamed of becoming a doctor and had planned on participating in mission trips. He was excited about life and the bright future ahead.
Dustin Chamberlain accomplished more in his short 20 years than most do in a life time. Among a world of common people, he chose to be uncommon. When students questioned Dustin as to how he could consistently make wise choices and stand firm in his faith, Dustin would reply, “Because I love God with all my heart and I don’t want to give Him anything less than my best.”
