Our Impact
Freedom House
Located in the village of Xenacoj, Guatemala, the Freedom House (Casa de Libertad) is a rehabilitation facility for men with addictions to drugs and alcohol. The goal of the Freedom House is transformation through the context of the gospel and building an eternity-changing, personal relationship with Jesus. Rehabilitation, discipleship, and vocational training opportunities are available to those who participate in the program. As a result of their time at the Freedom House, we hope that these individuals experience freedom from the bondage of their addiction.
Heart of Love Clinic
The Heart of Love Medical Clinic (Corazón de Amor), built and dedicated in 2014, is located near the gates of the Guatemala City garbage dump and provides care to more than 20,000 individuals per year. The staff at Heart of Love seek to meet not only the physical needs of individuals they tend to, as they aim to point every patient to the Great Physician and provider for every spiritual need. Many avenues of care are provided here - general, dental, physical therapy, prenatal, child development, etc.
Time of Rescue
Time of Rescue (Tiempo de Rescate) is a street ministry led by Cesar Garcia, a trained Emergency Medical Technician. Cesar and his team work on the most dangerous streets of Guatemala. They provide emergency healthcare to victims of transient crimes in high-risk areas, rescue youth, create opportunities to receive basic education, introduce vocational skills, and serve as an advocate in cases of abuse and neglect.
Short-Term Missions
Dustin’s Dream conducts short-term (7-10 day) mission trips to Guatemala City, primarily in the form of medical and dental or construction-oriented trips. The goal of these trips is to come alongside our ministry partners in the field and supplement the ongoing work they are doing. Our desire is that each member of the team will see the vast need within the population they are serving and have the ability to employ their unique giftings as a participant of the Kingdom work taking place. Oftentimes, team members walk away from these trips feeling as though they themselves are the ones who were encouraged and blessed.
Community Impact
While much of what we do takes place globally, Dustin’s Dream seeks to be rooted within our abundant community stateside. Dustin’s Dream provides scholarships to hard-working Siloam Springs High School students aspiring to impact their communities through their chosen profession as well as medical students at Baylor University (Dustin’s alma mater). Additionally, Dustin’s Dream partners with local organizations to provide tangible needs to at-risk children and families.
